Swedana is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy that involves
inducing therapeutic sweating through herbal steam. It is one of the most
important procedures in Panchakarma treatment and is commonly
performed after Abhyanga (oil massage) to enhance
detoxification and improve circulation.
At Nilkanth Ayurveda and Panchakarma Center, Swedana
therapy is performed using medicated herbal steam prepared from Ayurvedic herbs
and decoctions. The steam helps open the body channels (Srotas),
remove accumulated toxins (Ama), relieve stiffness, and
balance Vata and Kapha Doshas.
