What is Eczema?

Eczema is a common skin condition characterized by itching, redness, dryness, and inflammation of the skin. It can appear on different parts of the body such as the hands, legs, face, neck, and elbows. In many cases, the skin may become rough, cracked, or develop small blisters that cause discomfort.

In Ayurveda, eczema is correlated with Vicharchika, a type of Kushta Roga (skin disorder) caused by the imbalance of Kapha, Pitta, and Vata Doshas along with the accumulation of toxins (Ama) in the body.
